About

TopC is the short name of Topeka Crochet, which is a non-profit group and an unofficial chapter of the CGOA. As the group gets established, the necessary steps to make this group official will be taken. The purpose of this group is to promote crochet in Topeka and the surrounding areas. Some of the ideas that may or may not take place within this group are crochet alongs, crocheting for charity, workshops, chat & crochet, teaching others, and any other ideas that may present themselves along the way.

One does not have to be a member of the Guild to take part in the chapter. This is open to anyone who loves crochet and/or wants to learn more about it and make friends along the way. Teens under 18 and pre-teens who have an interest in crochet are welcome as well, but must be accompanied by an adult.

The CGOA (Crochet Guild of America) is a “501(c)3 not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of crochet”. To find out more about this organization and/or to become a member, please visit crochet.org.
